Currently a faculty in the Orchestral Studies Program at Stanford University, also privately teaches composition and music theory. Stanford University
Former adjunct professor in composition and music theory at Pasadena City College.
Co-founder and director of the Asia/America New Music Institute (AANMI), actively engaged in musical exchanges, commissions, and concert planning.
Active as a composer/arranger and orchestrator at Invisible Sea Productions, recently orchestrating Joe Hisaishi's Kiki’s Delivery Service for a concert tour.
Published choral works including Alpha and Omega, I will dwell in his house (Psalm 23), and a collection of sacred songs through Daehan Music Publishing and JoongAng Choral Series • Recent works include the album [a distance, intertwined] (Circle Records) and AANMI's album Transcendent (Delos), both receiving critical acclaim in Gramophone and Stereophile as "a testament to 21st-century creativity".
Earned a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree from the Peabody Institute at Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Music (BM) and Master of Music (MM) degrees from The Juilliard School.
